Panama Signs Agreement with Qatar

A Panamanian delegation to Qatar signed an agreement promoting bilateral cooperation between the nations. The agreement covers many topics of mutual concern but especially those related to oil and gas.

The Panamanian delegation included President Martinelli and Vice President Varela as well as Minister Papadimitriu and the Chairman of the Board of the Caja de Ahorros de Panama. On the Qatari side were Emir Diwan, the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and Industry Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah as well as senior officials from Qatar Petroleum.
